Israel too, according to media reports, carried out strikes on Tehran targeting government sites, in retaliation of which Iran struck an air-base in Saudi Arabia wounding many U.S. military personnel.
The closure of Strait of Hormuz has already created energy crisis across the globe, and the entry of Iran-supported Houthis has deepened the sea route crisis as they can strike long-distance missiles and disrupt shipping in the Arabian Sea. According to media reports, the Houthis could target shipping activities in the Bab al-Mandab Strait off the coast of Yemen, creating even a greater energy crisis.
