U.S. State Department has issued ‘don not travel’ warning for Russia. For citizens who are Russia, the advisory tells them to leave Russia immediately.

The advisory said, “Do not travel to Russia due to danger associated with the continuing war between Russia and Ukraine. The risks of harassment to wrongful detention by Russian security officials. The arbitrary enforcement pf local laws and the possibility of terrorism”.

Earlier, Russia had claimed that Ukraine tried to target Russian President Vladimir Putin’s official residence with drone attacks. According to reports, Russia has even shared evidence of the alleged drone strike with the United States.

The war between Russia and Ukraine appeared to have escalated again, leading into the New Year 2026.
