Ukraine President visits Middle-East

Amidst the on-going war in the Middle-east, Ukraine President Volodymir Zelenski visited UAE and held a meeting with Emirati President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Zelenski in a social media post on X said, “For Ukraine, this is also a matter of principle: terror must not prevail anywhere in the world. Protection must be sufficient everywhere.”

The two leaders are supposed to have discussed security situation in the UAE, Iran strikes and the blockade of Strait of Hormuz.

A day before, the Ukrainian President had visited Saudi Arabia to discuss defence co-operation that includes the exchange of expertise in countering missiles and drones that Zelenski claimed his country has developed during the four-year’s war with Russia to counter Iranian drones.
