Iran-supported Hackers Hack FBI Director’s Personal E-Mail

Des: Iran-linked hackers have breached the personal email of FBI director Kash Patel and have published photographs and documents

Body: Iran-linked hackers have breached the personal email of FBI director Kash Patel and have published photographs and documents.

According to media reports, Iran-backed Handala Hack Team has staked claims to the breach. Publishing the photographs and the documents on a website operated by Handala, reportedly to embarrass the United States amidst the on-going war in the Middle-East, the website has said that Mr Patel “will now find his name among the list of successfully hacked victims.”

The published materials by the hackers included personal photographs of Mr Patel smoking cigars, making a face while taking a picture of himself ‌in the mirror with a large bottle of rum.

According to media reports, Handala is controlled by Iranian government, and is a group that presents itself as a pro-Palestine vigilante hacker.
