Gig workers today staged a symbolic protest at Old Rajinder Nagar area of India capital New Delhi. They are demanding fair pay, humane working conditions, dignity at work and social security.

“The protest was not about disruption, but about being heard. I stand with them in solidarity,” said Aam Admi Party Member of Parliament Raghav Chadha in his post on X.

Platforms like Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy, Zomato etc are the ones who deploy gig workers, and the demand is voiced towards the managements of these platforms.
