Former South Korean prime minister Han Duck-soo has been given a jail term of 23 years by a court on charges related to ex-President Yoon Suk Yeol's declaration of martial law in December 2024.

The conviction and jail term was handed over by the Seoul Central District Court which found Han guilty. The court said that Han facilitated declaration of the martial law.

Declaration of the martial law which led to political instability in tech nation South Korean, had negatively impacted the economy of the Asian all through last year.
