Former South Korean Prime Minister Prime Minister Lee Hae-chan, who is credited for nurturing democracy in the tech nation passed away on Sunday. The nation is mourning the death of its leader, who is supposed to have spearheaded government reforms in South Korea as prime minister from 2004 to 2006.
South Korean President Lee Jae Myung described the former leader as a ‘mentor’ and said that “the country lost a great mentor in the history of our democracy".
Lee was on an official visit to Vietnam when a heart attack took his life.
