Former Malaysia Premier Najib Convicted

A Malaysian court convicted its former prime minister Najib Razak on Friday on charges of abuse of power and money-loundering.

Razak is now in the jail, serving a term of six years, and is waiting for the added sentence after the court convicted him. The former premier faces more years of jail and possible huge fine.

Mohammad Najib bin Abdul Razak was the prime minister of Malaysia from 2009 to 2018.
