The Deputy Chief Minister of India’s Maharashtra state, Ajit Pawar and four others died in an air crash on Wednesday.
Pawar was flying on the fateful charter plane to attend a political event, when the plane went down in flames just before landing.
Ajit Pawar came from a noted political family in Maharashtra, the richest state in India whose capital, Mumbai, is hailed as the business capital of the country. Mumbai also is known for its cinema.
