Bangladesh turmoil that has wrapped up majority Indian Hindu community after killings of two there on community lines, today spilled over in Tripura in India when people in India blocked a gas truck at the borders.

Bangladesh is at present undergoing a low political phase, more so after the killing of its youth leader Sharif Osman Hadi who succumbed to his injuries when receiving treatment in Singapore.

Bangladesh’s International Crimes Tribunal, without meeting the international standard procedure while dealing with its former premier Sheikh Hasina’s case, had sentenced her to death.

Sheikh Hasina is presently in India under political asylum provided by New Delhi. Bangladesh, led by Hadi, a vociferous anti-India stance, had been demanding of India to hand over of Sheikh Hasina to Bangladesh. India, however never responded.

After the killing of Hadi, anti-India voice in Bangladesh has soared. The small neighbour country of India has also witnessed a perceived hike in antipathy against Hindus, leading to lynching of two Hindu youths. The lynching incident has created disapproval in India, and there had been protests a few days back in front of the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi.

However, Tripura incident of Sunday is the first incident at the borders

Bangladesh has been accusing that after the killing of Hadi, culprits have fled into Indian territory.
