British PM Starmer Visiting China

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is visiting China. He is set to meet President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang on Thursday. Along with him is a team of 50 business leaders.

The visit is aimed at strengthening political and business ties between Britain and China in the face of a changing world. For long, the two nations had kept distance but the new political and security scenario that has emerged due to strain in the Western alliance is prompting re-arrangement of global relations.
